The best beaches in Arraial do Cabo RJ
1. PONTAL DO ATALAIA BEACHES
These are the most famous beaches and, according to many, the most beautiful in Arraial do Cabo. The beach from the famous wooden staircase. You can arrive by car or by boat.
These are two beaches, separated by a rock, which end up joining at high tide. It is possible to walk between one and the other with the lowest tide.
Prainhas does not have a good infrastructure of restaurants. Sellers set up tents according to the movement. On weekdays, it is even possible that there is no one, but on weekends there will always be a vendor who offers food, drink, chairs and tents. There is no bathroom on the beach.
2. FAROL ISLAND
It has already been voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! It is only possible to arrive by boat, and there is no tent or kiosk infrastructure on the beach, which makes it one of the beaches in the best state of conservation.
3. FORNO BEACH
Forno beach is a favorite for families! To get to this beach, you can easily get there on the trail, near Anjos beach. The trail lasts around 15 minutes, and the level of difficulty is considered easy. This beach can also be reached by boat.
The cabocla viewpoint also has an incredible view of Praia do Forno. The beginning of the trail from the Cabocla viewpoint starts Prainha beach (not the beaches of Pontal).
Praia do Foro has all the amenities: tents, kiosks, etc. To spend the day more comfortably.
A tip, turtles usually swim on the right side of the beach, near the rocks! Enjoy diving and snorkeling. But please don't touch corals or turtles!
4. PRAIA GRANDE
Praia Grande is the biggest beach in Arraial do Cabo, it's also the coldest, and the one that usually has the biggest waves! What we love most about this beach: it is the most beautiful sunset in Arraial! Also, a very large stretch of sand to play football, paddleball, or just sit on the sand and enjoy the food and drinks of the restaurants.
On the left side of the beach, there is a path that leads to an old building. The views are incredible, and in whale season you can see whales and dolphins leaping over the horizon.
The famous fishermen's deck is also on the left corner of Praia Grande. Where there is Mr. Roberto's swing and the famous photos from the fishermen's deck.
5. PRAIA BRAVA
The wild beach in Arraial do Cabo is an almost exclusive paradise, wild and little visited by tourists. It is only possible to enjoy it at low tide. When the sea rises, it invades the sand strip, leaving no room to stay.
For those who like cliff-jumping, caves, and waves on a wild, little-visited beach, this is the perfect place.
How to get there? You have to go up in Pontal do Atalaia, and park in a small dead-end street to go down the (very short) trail to Praia Brava.
6. PRAINHA BEACH
Prainha is the first beach you see arriving in Arraial. A beach with calm and crystalline waters. For those who don't want to walk a lot, it's the perfect beach, as you don't need to get to the beach by boat or walking along the trail.
7. PONTAL BEACH
Pontal beach is very beautiful. It is the first beach in Arraial do Cabo. Please don't make the mistake of thinking that it's the same beach as Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia. Because they are different beaches, with different beauties!
Access to it is by a dirt road, which you can take from the main road: when you arrive in the city, you will see the Security Department on the left side. The access road to Praia do Pontal is right there.
On Pontal beach, if you walk to the left side, you will find Lagoa do Meio on Foguete beach. A lagoon of red water that joins the sea (the most delicious and beautiful thing). If you walk to the right corner, you will find the famous point.
8. PRAIA DOS ANJOS BEACH
Praia dos Anjos is the main beach. Close to everything! It has stalls, kiosks, small restaurants, etc. It is from Praia dos Anjos that all boat trips leave. If you are going to take a taxi boat to any beach in Arraial, or if you are going to take a complete boat trip, the boats always leave from Praia dos Anjos.
